My little baby who is normally such a good sleeper has started fighting naps lately. Not fun. Particularly when I can TELL she's tired and needs to take a nap only to have her fuss and cry when I try to get her to sleep. I'm not sure what it is. Sometimes she will go down without a peep (I LOVE those times) but then other times, she will cry for over 1/2 an hour before she finally sleeps. We're still working on getting her used to the crib but when she's good and tired, she sleeps in it really well.
Yesterday, it got to be her usual naptime and she was acting sleepy so I put her in her crib but she just cried and spit out her paci. After going in there 3 times and attempting to rock her for awhile, I tried moving her to her sleeper but again, more crying. Rey gave it a shot, too but he couldn't calm her down, either. I was ready to pull my hair out! Finally, I decided I would just take her back downstairs and give her a bath. She needed one anyway and I figured it couldn't make her MORE upset...maybe it would even get her to calm down. As soon as I picked her up and took her downstairs she got quiet. She was an angel during bathtime and afterwards I fed her a big bottle, let her play for 30 minutes and tried to put her down for the night. Success!!!
I am trying to remind myself that most things with babies/children is a "phase" and that it hopefully will not last long. Her nap schedule might need some tweaking but we'll get it figured out.

I hope Hadley's nap phase passes quickly! William has been in a nap fighting phase for 7 months :(
